We never custody your money. Your account is opened in your own name at Interactive Brokers and stays there — we manage it under a limited advisor authorization that lets us place trades but never withdraw your funds. You fund it, and you can withdraw any time, directly with IBKR.

Council Capital was built by someone who has seen both sides of the equation: how Wall Street builds the real-time data infrastructure that powers modern markets, and how production-grade systems get engineered to run safely at scale.
The founder began his career as a data engineer at Goldman Sachs, building real-time data pipelines for the firm's trading and risk systems. He then moved to Citibank, where he built AI tools and got hands-on exposure to modern fintech infrastructure. From there he spent six years at Amazon / AWS building the kind of production engineering that runs 24/7 with no human in the loop — the same discipline that powers Council Capital's execution stack today. He is Series 65-licensed and Council Capital is registered as an LLC with the regulatory disclosures required by the SEC and applicable state authorities for the services we offer.
